More Christmas DIY

Spoiler Alert! No peeking if you are a co-worker or a member of my family!

Right now this is what my craft table looks like in my room. It looks like a scene right out of Santa's workshop. Crafts, presents, wrapping paper, the works-all piled high and under my handy "workbench."

I've been working on a cute little gift for some of my co-workers and family members over the past week, that was, you guessed it, inspired by an idea I saw on Pinterest. Here is all you need:
  • Fleece
  • Cardboard
  • Sewing supplies
  • Rice
If you inferred that I'm making handwarmers based on your observations from the list above (ha-science reference) then you are correct!

First, cut out a heart (or any shape) from the cardboard and trace it on your fleece.

Then, cut out your hearts (you need two per gift, as these are meant to go in your pockets).

Then, sew the two hearts together, leaving open a small opening to add some rice. Fill the heart with rice and then sew er' up!

Plop them in the microwave for a minute and you've got a sweet little hand warmer for the cold winter months! Adorable, easy, and handy!
