Happy "Birthday" Lucy!

Many of you may remember my post about our sweet puppy Lucy from a few months back...

Well...today is her birthday! (Which I naturally announced to my kiddos on their daily science starters warm-ups!)

And it's not really her birthday. We don't know when her actual birthday is. However, today marks the 3rd anniversary of Lucy "finding" us and becoming part of our home and family. We can't imagine our life without her. She truly is our "baby." Here she is with her "rally chipmunk."

We bought her a lovely stuffed...CUPCAKE (of course) from Target...to celebrate such an occasion. Isn't it adorable? It even has a little candle on it! Plus, for $3 you really can't beat it.

We plan on celebrating more tonight by eating a large dinner, snuggling on the couch, and going outside for a walk. 

If you aren't a dog person, you might be questioning why this is even worthy of a blog post. But if you are, you completely and totally "get" the impact a dog can have on your life. I can't imagine our lives without this scruffy, lovable girl and I am so glad to celebrate the anniversary of her finding us!
